Eating Grapes

Jiso (Lineage of So) among the tribes of the Baekso (White So) tribe, together with others, went to the well to drink milk.

There were many people but the well was small.

She, yielding to many others, couldn’t drink herself. That happened five times.

Upon returning home, she climbed the tower.

Hunger deluded her and she collapsed in dizziness.

Faint echoes heard in her ears.

Jiso tasted the five-tastes by swallowing grapes that were lushly railing the tower.

She rose and jumped in euphoria. 9That was due to its poisonous power.

Descending the tower rail, she pranced and sang,

How vast and wide the Heaven-Earth is!

My gi surpasses the yoke.

What way could this be?

It is the power of the fruits of grapes.

All people doubted her.

Jiso told them that it was truly beautiful.

People found it odd and ate them. 18It was like her words.

Thereupon, there were many from all tribes who ate grapes.
