Sinsi (the Divine City) Celebration Revived in Budo

Thereupon, the sixty thousand people of the Hwanggung descent migrated [to Budo] and protected it [Budo].

Shortly, they cut down the trees and made eighty thousand rafts.

After engraving the trust symbol on them, they floated the rafts in the water of the Heavenly Lake (Cheonji).

That was to invite all tribes of the Four Seas.

All tribes obtained it and recognized the trust symbol in the raft.

They arrived and gathered one after the other.

Opening Sinsi (Divine City) grandiosely in the forest of bakdal trees, 8they conducted the Gut, cleansed their mind/heart, and observed the celestial phenomena.

They traced the Lineage of Mago and clarified their tribal households.

Based on the Music of the Heavenly Emblem, they complied their spoken and written languages.

They located and worshipped the North Star and [the stars of] the seven weekdays.

Also they burnt sacrificial offerings on a flat boulder.

At the assembly, they sang and praised the Music of the Heavenly Savior (Cheonung).

All tribes unearthed the jade of seven treasures at the Bangho (Enclosed Gourd) Cave of Bangjang (Enclosed Sanctuary).

Engraving the Heavenly Emblem on it, they named it the Sea Seal of Bangjang. 16And they returned after expelling and removing the seven disasters.

Thereafter, Sinsi (the Divine City) was surely held every ten years. 18Gradually, their spoken and written languages were assimilated.

As the world used the unified measurement system, the human world was greatly harmonized.

The strongholds were built in the coastal regions.

That was to venerate the Heavenly Emblem 22and to have the emissaries of all tribes stay and reside in them.

For the forthcoming one thousand years, the moated strongholds (Seonghwang) flourished throughout all regions.
