Magoist Cosmology (2 Credits) Detailed Course Information & Registration here
Course no: 102
Instructor: Helen Hye-Sook Hwang, Ph.D.
Time: 9AM to 1PM PT June 9-July 28 (Tuesdays, 4 hour-long 8 weekly sessions)
Description: Magoist Cosmology offers a window to the matriversal (of maternally perceived universe) reality of WE/HERE/NOW unfolded by the Ninefold Cosmic Music. The ever-presently birthing, growing, and transforming process of entities in the holistic reality according to the principle of causal becoming washes away the linear-monolithic-dualistic worldview. The Magoist Cosmogony recounted in the first four chapters of the Budoji (Epic of the Emblem Capital City), the principal text of Ceto-Magoism (the Whale-guided Way of Mago, the Creatrix), takes the mind to the Great Unity of ALL in the Creatrix, the matriversal origin of LIFE, and the Ceto-Magoist basis of modern civilization.

Course Summary
Rationale: Moderns have lost the epistemic capacity of perceiving reality as interconnected, unfolding, and salvific. What if humans can dis-cover what was lost or forgotten, the Mind of the Cosmic Mother wherein ALL (including inorganic entities) are deemed as kindred? What if the human mind upon being matrixed can tell and refuse the dualistic mode of patriarchal thinking? And what if our civilizations bear at the core the matrixed reality, the undividable whole, WE/HERE/NOW, enabled by the Cetacean Divine, traditionally known as the dragon? Moderns are summoned to rekindle matriversal cosmology to undo the epistemic damage brought by the patriarchal establishment and to bring back the planetary journey on the track in harmony with the Cosmic Music. We will explore the salvific nature of the matriversal consciousness of the Creatrix undergirded by cetological intelligence/spirituality.
Maogist Cosmology refers to the pre-patriarchally originated matriversal consciousness availed through the Cetacean Providence, which not only perceives the cosmos as the creatrix but also unveils the sono-numerological-creative force/principle of the Matrivere, the Ninefold Cosmic Music. It tells the story of Life in the Matriverse: The intercosmic journey of Life is ultimately the Song of the Matriverse ever-completing and ever-renewing. We humans are called to assist the song of the planet (the dragon) orchestrated by whales. Our Matriversal Story/Song, which is complex, beautiful, and unfolding in nature on all levels, nourishes ALL by touching them at the core. The matriversal song, the Ninefold Cosmic Music, which manifests as the Nine Mago Crearirx, is salvific insofar as humans learn and manage it.
The Magoist Cosmogonic Myth recounted in the Budoji, yet-to-be-told to the modern world, reaps the veils of patriarchal creation myths and sheds light on the seemingly isolated text of ancient Goddesses of the world. According to the Budoji, our ancestors prior to the onset of patriarchy in the Neolithic carved out the matriversal consciousness of the Cosmic Mother and inscribed it in Ceto-Magoist civilizations that we moderns inherited. This course unravels the Ceto-Magoist language of the Budoji’s cosmogonic chapters as well as Korean folkloric sources and decodes such central notions and symbols as the Heavenly Emblem, the Mago Stronghold, the Cosmic Music, the Mago Creatrix, Calendric Numbers, the paradisiacal state, and the two human-caused catastrophes. Magoist Cosmology unleashes the understanding of (1) the Nine Mago Creatrix as the Source and the Origin of ALL in the Matriverse (Maternally perceived universe), (2) the creative force/principle of the Ninefold Cosmic Music represented by the Nine Mago Creatrix, (3) a new beginning of the planet Earth, which continues to this day, (4) the cosmogenic “songs” of Whales, traditionally depicted as the dragon, (5) the etiological nature of the Magoist Cosmogonic Myth, (6) the origin of Life on the planet, and (7) the two planetary catastrophes.
Objectives:
- Familiarize the first four chapters of the Budoji (Epic of the Emblem Capital City), the Magoist Cosmogony and related Korean folklore.
- Identify central terms and symbols and comprehend their multifaceted and multi-layered meanings.
- Comprehend the concept of the undividable whole, the matriversal reality of WE/HERE/NOW, and how it is predicated on the Magoist Cosmogony.
- Detect how the Ceto-Magoist language permeates the Magoist Cosmogonic Myth.
- Recognize the etiological and salvific nature of the Magoist Cosmogony.
- Understand how the sono-numeric features of the Cosmic Music (sonic and numeric) manifests in world-wide creation myths.
- Explore the multi-faceted meaning of the Heavenly Emblem for the Ninefold Cosmic Music.
- Articulate the interconnectivity of ALL in the Cosmic Mother.
- Assess how an individualized modern perspective obstructs the encounter of matriversal cosmology.
Method: This course aims to cultivate the epistemic power of the reality of WE/HERE/NOW in one’s mind collectively by examining the Ceto-Magoist Cosmogonic Myth. Each session will have a lecture by Dr. Hwang, students’ presentations or participations (on the key points of each lesson with discussion questions), and Q&A and discussions.
