Words of Invitation and Welcome
We, the leadership board of the S/HE Divine Studies Online Conference, have the privilege of planning and convening the first meeting this June. Together with paper presenters and workshop facilitators, we are opening the new window to what is going to unfold. It is our hope that the S/HE Divine Studies Online Conference, we inaugurate this year, will grow into a big and strong tree with many branches, which reflects the vision of the Great Unity in the Creatrix, S/HE. Individual papers and workshops will collectively demonstrate this year’s conference theme, Why and How to Study the Female Divine. We are truly blessed with the rich and diverse display of contents.
Our conference is set as an online annual meeting. It is an innovation, which we have not attempted before. There will be trials and errors especially for the first year. Your constructive feedback of the conference in general and specifics will be appreciated. With its pros and cons, the online conference foremost makes it affordable for participants to meet across the lands and seas! As you will find, we have shaped our days into 19 session times designed to serve participants around the globe. Once completed this year, we will be ready to make tradition for the second year! With your support, we anticipate an intercultural meeting every third year beginning in 2026.
We will open the conference with the plenary session of “Convoking S/HE Divine Discourse and Awakening to Matriversal Kinship of the Creatrix” and will close with the assembly session of “Entering Great Unity in S/HE” to be attended by all. The vision that this conference unfolds is clear: In the Reality of the Creatrix, S/HE, All are found kindred. Intelligence, spirituality, and peace rise and flourish in ALL! Thank you for considering joining us and welcome!
Here is helpful information for you to enjoy participating in all sessions.
1. All registered participants will be given the Zoom links with the passwords for sessions by email.
2. All sessions are assigned for 90 minutes with the interim break of 30 minutes between sessions. Meal breaks are NOT set aside.
3. All sessions are assigned in session times within the frame of 50 hours (2 full days and 2 hours), beginning Noon of June 7 (Friday) and ending on 1:30 PM of June 9 (Sunday) PST of the U.S.A.
4. Take notes on salient insights and experiences that you will have during the period for yourself. You can share some of them during the closing session. All attendees are welcome to join. The closing assembly under the title of “Entering Great Unity in S/HE” will have two parts. For the first half, after Dr. Hwang (with other celebrants) will lead the ceremony of Great Unity in S/HE by sounding the whale bell, participants will voluntarily share your experiences of this year’s meeting. The conference officially ends here. After a small break, the second half will begin with those who wish to attend to discuss the conference’s organizational and technical matters, search for section chairs and panel organizers, and other agendas for the future meetings.
5. Last but not least, participants are strongly encouraged to consider submitting your papers and essays to the S/HE academic journal (https://sheijgs.space) and the Return to Mago E-Magazine (https://magoism.net).
We look forward to meeting you in sessions!
